1. My secret obsession with spinsterhood (ok, it’s not really a secret since I talk about it often and occasionally search Craigslist for studio apartments) means that while I really miss my perma plus one, I also really love little moments like coffee and apple slices alone on the floor in front of the sliding door.

2. The big TV remote is too complicated for me. So while we have a flat screen, a blu-ray, Apple TV and an assortment of Other Things Connected to the TV—I’ve been watching DVDs on the small TV that JVA’s had since high school.

3. I finally commiserate with those Cooking for One complaints. Saturday night I had coffee for dinner. Because that’s how much I didn’t want to do dishes.

4. Everything I know about driving I learned from riding the campus shuttle. Which means I think it’s OK to take up two lanes and not use my turn signal. This is all good news for JVA who is probably not going to let me anywhere near the car when he gets home

5. I am really bad at steering a grocery cart.

it’s official. i need a new phone. because while jva can send me this photo from the ski lift in vail. i have to take a one on my camera, find the little usb converter, get to a computer, upload it and email…

Since JVA is going to be away till Monday we went on a little date Tuesday after work. We cook dinner pretty much every night in our house so even splitting a salad at Sweet Green and a pit stop at Circa for a couple cheap drinks is a big deal in our book.

I love their new year’s resolutions post-it wall (despite that fact that most of them were So Painfully DC). My favorite is the one at the bottom. Poor Tim.

At tonight’s Intern Tuesday, Intern not only fell backwards over his own bike while standing on the sidewalk, but also accidentally tried on a woman’s sweater at Banana Republic. I really can’t explain how funny this was, just to tell you my abs actually hurt from laughing so hard.

Since this weekend’s wintery mix might be the most snow we see this year, I dragged JVA out to Capitol Hill for a quick photo shoot.

Consider yourself lucky you don’t live with me since this is how he often spends his Saturday mornings (i.e. standing around while I take a photo/wishing he was still in bed).
